IMPORTANCE OF FAMILY PRAYER
By AH.G. Mathews Mar Barnabas Metropolitan
Prayer is the interaction between the Father God and we children. Whatever we do for glory of God is worshipping. In prayer we praise God and supplicate our human needs. At the same time we accept our sin before God and ask for absolution from Him. The group prayers make us to accept our co-beings as equal. The family that prays together stays together. Holy Spirit is always our mediator and the Holy Spirit guides us in our prayer.

CALL AND CHOICE OF GOD
By Fr. Dr. Reji Mathew STOTS, Nagpur
St. Luke had given much emphasis in his Gospel for the episodes in the Public Ministry of Jesus which relate to the very common people and marginalised ones in the society. He had written regarding the call and choice of St. Peter in detail than all other evangelist. Manner of his writings are accurate, exact, polite and elegant. Jesus called people from different class of society. Scripture reveals us that people are called by God at different situations and places. The positive response we can give to call of God is made possible by the divine power of God.

MY GRACE IS SUFFICIENT FOR YOU - CHAPTER 1 : SICKNESS, THE WAY OF BLESSING
By Fr. Dr. K.M. George And Mrs. Mariam Philiph George
Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom. Jesus was a powerful and compassionate physician from heaven; Jesus went around not only for teaching, but for healing, and both with his word and His action. In some cases He sent his word, and healed people. He cured all type of sickness without exception. It is not wise or logical to think that sickness is the result of personal sin though there is relation between the fall of the man and infirmities of the mankind as a whole. The Christian tradition is to consider sickness as a blessing.

OBEDIENCE TO GOD AND JOY OF OBEDIENCE
By Rev. Rajkumar
It is the will of God that we obey His teachings. The kindness of our Lord delivered us from this bondage to His obedience. We received a rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit who provides us generously. We love God, because He first loved us. So our love to Jesus is only our return for the Love of God Who gave us His son as the His greatest love for the world. The goodness and forbearance and longsuffering of God lead us for the repentance. It is the Grace of God, which gives us salvation. There is abundant joy in obeying Lord.

NOAH AND HIS HOUSEHOLD
By Rev. Fr. Jacob Koshy Puthoor
God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God. Lord told Noah to make an ark of gopher wood. Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.

RECONCILIATION IN THE CHURCH
By Geevarghese Mar Osthathios Metropolitan
Digression from God, defeat any effort for conciliation among Churches. To accede with unification, we should be conscious of the underlying sin involved in separatism. Messiah has unified the world and heaven through the cross. Churches can reconcile each other only through the cross of Christ and in the model of Trinity. There is only one race and no doctrine of multiple castes. God's will is that all the churches are to be united. Churches can unite only if it becomes poor of its own accord. The biggest media to unify the entire world is the Holy Bible.

GOD'S PLAN ABOUT MAN

Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. God have a plan for each human. CHRISTIAN THOUGHTS
By Bishop Robert Solomon
The mind and thoughts of a Christian is very important. Bible had revealed us Who God is to us. Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of the Old Testament law and the prophets. Old testament festivals and rituals were only the shadows of the reality, which was yet to come. When the reality came we are baptized to Christ to get joined with Him. The forgiveness is according to the sacrifice on the cross. The whole truth of reality is Jesus Christ. There is no knowledge besides Jesus Christ. We need to transform our mind not conforming to this world, but as per the mind of Jesus Christ. The transformation is way for salvation.

Our Lord Jesus was not educated in the schools of the prophets, or at the feet of the rabbi; not only did not travel for learning, as the philosophers did, but did not make any use of the schools and academies in his own country. Jesus excelled in the doctrines endued with a divine knowledge. The teachings of Jesus were of His father who had sent Him to this earth. LOVE, BROTHERHOOD AND MUTUAL RESPECT AS FACES OF SPIRITUALITY
By Rev. Fr. Dr. Reji Mathew
Family is the origin of love, brotherhood and mutual respect. It was the exhortation of St. Paul to be affectionate one to another with brotherly love and to honor preferring one another. It signifies love, but also a readiness and inclination to love, the most genuine and free affection, kindness flowing out as from a spring. The tender unconstrained affection leads us for the greatest courtesy and obligingness, one to another. Instead of contending for superiority, we should forward to give to others the pre-eminence.

Those who search God in glamorous situation or in magnificent Churches may get frustrated as God may not be available in such places. He is always seen in an ambient of humility and lawlessness. LIVE WORTHY OF THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST
By Fr. M.O. Thomas
Dead and risen Jesus Christ is the Gospel. Those who profess the Gospel of Christ should have their conversation as becomes the gospel or suitable or agreeable to it. The faith of the gospel is the doctrine of faith, or the religion of the gospel. The unity and unanimity of Christians become the Gospel. Stand fast in one spirit, with one mind. Be steadfast and immovable by any opposition. Our great care must be to keep close to our profession, and be constant to it.

'GIVE CEASER'S TO CEASER AND GOD'S TO GOD'
By Rev. Dr. Valsan Thampu
The Kingdom of God does not clash or interfere with kingdoms of the earth. Christ's Kingdom was not of this world. It is the duty of subjects to render to ruler according to the laws, which are their due. Unilateral thinking is the way to devastation and thoughts of mutual interest is the sign of life. The hungry, thirsty, naked, prisoner all those in the parable of the Sheep and Goats are our neighbours. Concern and care to our neighbours is the supreme exhortation of the Gospel which will be counted as deeds for God.

By Fr. Joji K. Joy
The earthly life of a believer should be in compliance with the Gospel of Christ. The people who are called and choosen by the name of God should humble themself, pray, always seek the face of God and turn away from all evil and wickedness. If they do so, God will relieve them from all their afflictions by hearing their prayer in Heaven, forgiving their sins and healing their nation.

By Rev. Dr. Valsan Thampu
Our Lord Jesus came to this world not to be ministered but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many. Culture of this world was to despise the one who minister and Jesus came to create respect for ministering. During His public mission in this world for three and a half years, He responded to the needs of the people with great care and mercy.

WHAT YOU WILL GIVE TO ME?
By Fr. Varghese Varghese
Spirituality of the modern world is debased as the means to reap personal gains. It is the same mentality of Judas Iscariot who followed Jesus in His entire public mission in this world for more than three years and betrayed his master for the gain of thirty silver coins. It is big question in many of our spiritual life, 'What I will gain with it?'

A FAIRY TALE
By John Kunnathu
What could have been done more to my vineyard, that I have not done in it? wherefore, when I looked that it should bring forth grapes, brought it forth wild grapes?
