RIGHT CHOICES OF DANIEL OVER HIS OPTIONS
By Rt. Rev. Thomas Mar Timotheos Episcopa
[Diocesan Bishop of Kunnamkulam-Malabar Diocese, Marthoma Syrian Church]
The standard of life of a person is deeply depended on the selections or options he/she makes in his/her life at different stages of their life. 'One's philosophy is not best expressed in words; it is expressed in the choices one makes.' Daniel was considered noble because of right choices at right time. Daniel could make his right choices out of three value-based attributes, Character over comforts, Discipline of devotional life and Love of God over life.

A LONGING FOR SPIRITUAL FRIENDSHIP
By Dr. Zac Varghese, London
God has created us for this friendship because ‘God is love,’ but we need to find God’s presence in our relationships to transform and realise God is friendship. Spiritual friendships most commonly involve two people who encounter God’s grace in their lives; who makes an unselfish commitment to hold each other in the binding power of the divine love, and to share each other their experiences, doubts, thinking and prayer times as their spiritual journey unfold.

IDENTIFICATION
By H.G. Mathews Mar Barnabas
Identifying oneself with people and loving them is the most important thing in our spiritual life. Identification means putting oneself in the place of others and seeing their desires and problems as one's own. Then we can love people whole-heartedly, loving them as we love ourselves. Heaven is what we make through identification and love with the grace of God.

JOB AND HIS HOUSEHOLD
By E.S. John Australia
Job’s perseverance and utter faith in God brought back all what he lost in geometrical exponentials that testified virulently the ultimate climb of good over evil. The problem of the innocent suffering, is the seeming nucleus of Christian endurance that brings salvation to the disquieted soul. Job’s victory at the end is that the just will also suffer for the sake of winning over Satan.

WE ARE NOT IN KANSAS ANYMORE, TOTO!
By Rev. John T. Mathew, Canada
Let us step off of our heights of successes and accomplishments in our spiritual hibernations and mystical migrations - human or divine; share in the pain of those around us, extending a hand to those shrivel in desperation with no hope in this life or the life beyond, with no visions left in them. That’s how we share in Jesus’ passion and suffering. That’s what Transfiguration is all about.

WITNESS OF CROSS
By Rev. Dr. Sam Kamaleshan
We are relieved from our sins and transgressions by the power of cross. Cross is not an ornament but it is the power for the deliverance. In connection with cross and crucifixion of our Lord Jesus Christ, five people witness that Jesus was innocent and not worthy for the passions on the cross. Though we proclaim that Jesus was innocent, if we do not receive the clear deliverance from our transgression, we are not doing a true witness.

ECUMENISM
By H.H. Basalios Marthoma Mathews II
The incarnation of Jesus Christ to this world it is the root ecumenism of God and human. In the high priestly prayer of Jesus Christ this ecumenical feast of heaven and earth is very evident. During the inception of Church, the Church was one and united. But later, when the divisions and separations came to the Church St. Paul very painfully exhorted them of the consequences through his epistles. The Church being the body of Christ it cannot be visualized as different.
