Roshan Jacob IAS

When we think of the role of women in the ministry of Lord Jesus Christ, the most important thing is that Jesus was born from a woman. In public ministry of Jesus good section of his followers were always women. Jesus treated woman with equality among his disciples.

BROTHERLY LOVE THROUGH GREAT LENT
Great Lent Message 2022
H.H. Baselios Marthoma Mathew III Catholicos Malankara Orthodox Church
Great Lent is a period of renewal and rejuvenation through penitence. In general, a fast is intended, for the honoring and pleasing of God. It is not enough to look demure, to put on a grave and melancholy aspect, to bow down the head like a bulrush that is withered and broken. Real Lent is to share your bread with the hungry and bring the homeless poor into the house; when you see the naked, to cover him; And not to hide yourself from your own flesh.

ECUMENISM: A NEW LIFE STYLE OF HUMAN RELATION
Main Speech Ecumenical Meeting Maramon Convention 2022
H.H. Baselios Marthoma Mathew III Catholicos Malankara Orthodox Church
Our Lord Jesus presses upon us that righteousness towards men which is an essential branch of true ecumenism and that leads towards God. The rule in general is whatsoever you would that men should do to you, do you even so to them. We cannot expect to receive good things from God, if we do not fair things, and that which is honest, and lovely, and of good report among men. The negatively approach of forbidden comes out of a rule, positive commitment comes out of Godly love.

RECONCILIATION THROUGH GREAT LENT
Great Lent Message
Rev. Fr. Dr. T. J. Joshua
We ought carefully to preserve Christian love and peace with our brothers, and that if at any time a breach happens, we should labour for a reconciliation, by confessing our fault, humbling ourselves to our brother, begging his pardon, and making restitution, or offering satisfaction for wrong done in word or deed, according as the nature of the thing is; and that we should do this quickly because, till this be done, we are utterly unfit for communion with God in holy ordinances.

MISSIONARY JOURNEYS OF APOSTLE ST. PAUL [MALAYALAM]
Dr. Rajan Mathew
The proofs of Christ’s resurrection with which the gospels closed are abundantly corroborated by the constant and undaunted testimony of those that conversed with Him as illustrated by St. Luke in his Acts of Apostles. The New Testament records Paul taking three missionary journeys that spread the message of Christ to Asia Minor and Europe. St. Pauls' first plan of evangelism was to preach in the town synagogues but when many of the Jews rejected the teachings of Christ, the missionaries recognized God was calling them to witness to the Gentiles.

Rev. Fr. Dr. K.M. George
Former Principal, Orthodox Theological Seminary, Kottayam
Malankara Orthodox Church
The most important two ideals of the Mahatma Gandhi were Satyagraha and Ahimsa. Ahimsa is the doctrine of refraining from harming any living being. Ahimsa is one of the cardinal virtues and an important tenet of Jainism. Satyagraha is a term coined by Gandhi on his own. The way of Satyagraha was experimented by Gandhi in South Africa and then followed it in India for the Freedom Struggle. Satyagraha literally means “hold onto the truth.” So, true Satyagraha needs purification of body, mind and spirit. It is the philosophy of nonviolent resistance to authorities.

CHRISTIAN WRITERS AND THEIR WRITINGS IN APOSTOLIC AGE [MALAYALAM]
Dr. Rajan Mathew
Various Early Apostolic Christian writers wrote gospels and other books, some of which were canonized as the New Testament. The New Testament discusses the teachings and person of Jesus, as well as events in first-century Christianity. Each of the four gospels in the New Testament narrates the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth. The Apostolic Fathers were prominent writers who are traditionally understood to have met and learned from Jesus or His personal disciples. The Church Fathers are later writers with no direct connection to the disciples. Apologists defended Christianity against its critics.

How do we find a way to become a dynamic presence in our own nation? Many nations, with their poverty and injustice, dishonesty and corruption, hope and frustration, lack of leadership and initiative are in sad state in the world today. Is there some good news that we can be and bring to our people? In India we Christians need to realise the wide range of salvation that God brings - not just the individual salvation in the ‘other’ world, but corporate and national salvation here and now as well.
