THE VOICE OF CRY AND HANDS OF CARE
By Rt. Rev. Dr. Geevarghese Mar Thoeodosius Episcopa
[Diocesan Bishop of Chennai-Banglore Diocese, Marthoma Syrian Church]
We see a miniaturized church in those five people, the palsy and his friends who brought him to Jesus. To strengthen the helpless in the society is a commissioned mission of the Church. The mission of the church is to make the God in the Altar reachable to the mass. When Lord comes down to our midst, He absolves our sin, He heals our sickness, He gives wisdom to our mind and He strengthens our weakness. Lord opens enormous possibilities and makes our society and Church a part in the history as a continuation of the Gospel.

THE SUNDAY SCHOOL
By Very Rev. Thomas P. Mundukuzhy
[Republished in memory of Very Rev. Thomas P. Mundukuzhy]
Christian education should be given from the childhood. In a child, the image of God grows with the family. The home shall be a mini Church. Home is the cradle of all possible growth and expansion. It is the responsibility of the parents to teach, guide, and when necessary, to correct. Train their hearts. Cheer more, criticize less. Sunday School exists not for conversion but to prevent conversion.People tend to learn by what they see rather than by what they hear. We have to show our good works. Be model to others by practicing what we teach. If we learn and teach, we will walk in His paths.

'THOU ART JUSTIFIED IN THY SENTENCE'
By E.S. John Australia
Forgiveness is the gift of heartfelt confession that cleanses the soul because God knows the passions of the flesh. In the Lord’s prayer also we ask to ‘forgive our debts and sins’, the first priority is the debt that we owe for the previously forgiven sins prior to our latest ones. As sin is a challenger of the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Triune God, He desolates the vicinity of the sinner. Our salvation comes by submitting ourselves at the feet of the Saviour.

A RECKLESS CHURCH IN A WASTEFUL WORLD
By Rev. John T. Mathew, Canada
Once we keenly ponder on the parable of Prodigal Son, we may feel that the real lost son was the older son, who is very much like the church folk, who didn’t have the chutzpah to argue, grab all he could and take off, those who stayed home, as someone had to do the disgusting chores albeit grudgingly, and became very upset with his father’s impromptu plans to throw a party for the loser who made it back home! We live in a world where we are lost to each other like the two sons.

TRUE WORSHIP
By H.H. Basalios Marthoma Mathews II
When we worship, we should have the clear vision, whom we are worshipping. Those who search God in glamorous situation or in magnificent Churches may get frustrated as God may not be available in such places. He is always seen in an ambient of humility and lawlessness. The worship of God should be to its fullness and truthfulness. God is not demanding for costly offerings but he looks for broken hearts and humble thoughts. Worship should be with all our resources what we received as providence from heaven.

SPIRITUAL EMPTINESS
By Fr. Ninan George
The witness of man by God is true and abiding as God perceive the inner heart of man which hidden for men and He discern in intents of man. We read a bad witness in the word of God of the two sons of the priest Eli. We also read in the scripture the aftermath of the wickedness in this world. Wherever God is present we see the victory and when God went out it cause devastation.
