Like all scriptural stories they conveyed strong messages about how to be and what to do; so although they are metaphorical in nature, we were encouraged to believe that they had happened to real people. The culmination of the Creation story is the Garden of Eden where God placed early humanity, which were Adam and Eve who lived in almost heavenly bliss without any stress or strife as their needs were limited and they could draw on the vast resources of the Garden. But as it so happened half of humanity represented in Eve wanted to reach out to the prohibited and the other half in Adam connived. That action opened their senses to deficiencies and the urge of possessiveness, which ended in their expulsion from the Garden.
